The 10 Minute Fretboard - Zone 1

Memorizing and understanding the fretboard is one of the most important foundational steps in learning the bass. With The 10 Minute Fretboard, you get to accomplish this goal in a fun, simple way. Using this "10 minutes per day" format, this course doesn't tell you WHAT to practice or HOW to practice it...this course IS THE PRACTICE. We use visualization, and pattern recognition to map out the fretboard in a way that will stick with you forever. Every session ends with a play along jam track that reinforces and tests what you've learned. This series is Zone 1, which will cover the most important area of the fretboard: the open strings to the 5th fret. By the end of this course, bassists will be able to memorize and identify all of the flat, sharp, and natural notes in Zone 1 without having to even think about it. This is a critical skill that makes learning scales, shapes, patterns -- everything else on the journey -- much easier.
